Los Angeles, March 5, 2009 -- The Los Angeles County Asian American Employees Association (LACAAEA) hosted a Meet and Greet reception for Los Angeles County’s five newly appointed department heads. The event was held at Empress Pavilion Restaurant (Chinatown) on March 5, 2009. Approximately 250 people attended to “welcome” and congratulate these five new leaders.
Philip Chen, Health Deputy, Fifth District, served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Philip is a dedicated LACAAEA member and a very energetic and eloquent emcee. We are thankful for his continued active participation in the organization.
William T Fujioka, Los Angeles County Chief Executive Officer, nearly twenty other department heads and many other special guests attended the Meet and Greet reception. We thank them for taking time from their busy schedules to help LACAAEA honor and welcome one – or five - of their own!
Irene Hamada, President of LACAAEA, welcomed everyone in addenance to the 2009 "Meet and Greet" dinner reception. She also recognized all those in attendance for their continued support and assistance.
