The first award is LACAAEA founder's award. He is one of the LACAAEA founders. Second award is his innovation for giving the idea of LACAAEA annual Fish Fry, where members of LACAAEA and their family can get together and exchange ideas and have an opportunity for networking and promotion at the County of Los Angeles.  Photo Gallery

On May 15, 2009, California State Governor Arnold Schwazenegger sent a Proclamation to congratulate the Los Angles County Asian American Employees Association and proclaim May 2009, as "Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month.". Click here for the Proclamation.

On May 20, 2009, California State Controller John Chiang sent a warm congratulations to the Los Angles County Asian American Employees Association in celebration of Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month. Karen Chang, Special Assistant to John Chiang, presented a scroll to LACAAEA President Irene Hamada for LACAAEA as one of the premier Asian Pacific Islander American employee associations. On May 20, 2009, Melissa S. Ramoso, Field Representative for State Assemblymember Ted W. Lieu, 53rd District also presented a scroll to LACAAEA President Irene Hamada for LACAAEA's outstanding achievment.
