     Jeremy Li, a native of Shanghai, China, was the winner of the 1987 Mary Cleary Scholarship for outstanding student achievement and graduated cum laude from CSU, Northridge with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1987. He started to work as an Electrical Engineer at Schaeffer Magnetics, Inc. (SMI), an aerospace company, in Chatsworth, Calif. He gained valuable experience under the guidance of his mentor, and company owner, Ernie Schaeffer. He later served as IT manager for 7 years at SMI. He was quite proud of his “small” contribution to the American space program! He designed the printed circuit board for the reaction wheel used on the space flight in 1990's.

After SMI was sold in 1998, Jeremy joined USC University, Hospital as a Network Lead Engineer to support the entire hospital's IT operations. In 1999, he joined Litton Industries Inc., a diversified defense and technology company, as a Senior Network Engineer to support the entire data center at Litton Corporate, Woodland Hills, California. After Northrop Grumman's 2001 acquisition of Litton Industries Inc., Jeremy was hired as a consultant at Northrop Grumman IT sector. In February, 2003, he was hired by the County of Los Angeles, Department of Auditor Controller as a network consultant through Staff Tech, Inc., an IT consulting company. In June 2004, Staff Tech, Inc. honored Jeremy as the Employee of the Month (Award Certificate).

In March 2005, Jeremy became a fulltime employee at the Department of Auditor Controller. He often mentions how proud he is able to bring in his vast and successful IT experience from private to public sector. He always says that he is lucky to be able to design, implement and maintain the entire Microsoft Active Directory network along with HP technologies from A to Z at an enterprise environment.

He always contributes his IT successful stories and experiences through continuing IT education and certifications. He was certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer NT 4.0 (MCSE) in July 1998 and re-certified as a  Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Windows 2000 (MCSE) in Jan. 2002. He was also certified as Compaq Master Accredited Systems Engineer in May 1999 and re-certified as HP Master Accredited Systems Engineer in 2002 and 2005. He was also certified as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in May, 2001. In 2008, he earned the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
