Dulce Forster Maycumber began working for the County of Los Angeles on November13, 1985 as an Account Clerk I, Recurrent, with the Department of Treasurer and Tax Collector. She was promoted to Sr. Departmental Personnel Technician on July 1, 2001. One year later, she transferred to the Department of Auditor-Controller as the Departmental Health and Safety Officer and Return-to-Work Coordinator, and was subsequently promoted to Head Departmental Personnel Technician responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Human Resources Section.
On July 1, 2007, Dulce was promoted to Program Specialist II. As a supervisor, she manages the Space Planning and Facilities Unit, and directs staff responsible for renovation activities, records and retention schedules, telephone repairs and facility requests, common stock supplies, mail, and disposal of surplus property.
Dulce has been an active member of the LACAAEA family since 2007. In that year, she began attending the Association’s monthly meetings and actively participating in planning events, such as the Meet and Greet, Heritage Day and Fish Fry. She is very excited to be a newly elected LACAAEA Officer, has made several new friendships, believes in the organization’s mission and has thoroughly enjoyed contributing to its cause.
