Armando Garcia started his County career as a Student Worker with the Immunization Project at the Ruth Temple Health Center. A year later, he was hired at the Northeast Health Center within the Department of Health Services as a Clerk, and slowly promoted to higher positions until he took on the challenge of being the Acting Business Office Supervisor.
Mr. Garcia is now the Executive Secretary for the Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department, the largest locally-administered child support program in the nation, a position he has held since April 2007.
Besides the Los Angeles County Asian American Employees Association (LACAAEA), Mr. Garcia is an active member of the Los Angeles County Secretarial Council (LACSC) where he is on the Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large, a member of the Los Angeles County Cambodian Employees Association and is also very active in the AIDS Walk, HomeWalk and the March of Dimes campaign.
