Tevy M. Sithan started her career with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services in January 1981 as a case worker. While working fulltime and raised two children, she went to Cerritos College and received her AA degree and certificate in Accounting in May 1990. In June 1996, she left Department of Public Social Services to join the Los Angeles County Department of Child Support Services as a Family Support Representative. Once again, while working fulltime and raised now three children, she managed to go back to school and graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, option in Management in September 2000. In December 2000, she was promoted to Supervising Child Support Officer for the Interstate Division. In October 2007, she was promoted to Head Child Support Officer where she directs and oversees two enforcement teams and one specialized team. She Oversee special projects such as case closings, special court order modifications, Early intervention, imaging, interstate initiating and responding establishment, data clean up lists due to conversion of new computer system(CSE), and VIP cases.
Tevy is very active in her Cambodian Community. She had her first contact with LACAAEA in May 2005 and has since taken interest in the Association; she joined LACAAEA in 2007. She has served as President of the LA County Cambodian Employees Association; she is currently served as one of the board members for this Association; she serves as an advisory board member for the Cambodian Coordinating Council, and had served on the advisory board for the Cambodian Culture and Art Association. Tevy is very proud of her accomplishments, raising her 3 wonderful, successful children and her involvement with the community and the Association.
