Phillip Tuey Ow completed thirty-one years of distinguished service to the County of Los Angeles, in the Departments of Health Services, Human Resources and Chief Administrative Office, beginning on August 12, 1974.
Phil's County career has been dedicated to protecting the health and well being of the Los Angeles community and Los Angeles County employees as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Occupational Environmentalist, and Loss Control and Prevention Specialist whose varied duties have taken him across the breadth and width of the County, and given him the opportunity to form many lasting friendships at all ranks and all locations.
Phil has been a member in good standing of the LACAAEA since 1976, serving many leadership positions on the Executive Board over the years to ensure the rights of all County employees. He served as President from 1981-82. For his outstanding service activities, Phil received a certificate of Recognition from the California State Senate and a Certificate of Special Congressional recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives
Supervisor Knabe, Chairman, announced that the Board of Supervisors formally recognized Phil for his accomplishments as the Los Angeles County November 2004 Employee of the Month recipient at the Board Meeting.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors thanked Phillip Tuey Ow for this dedicated and loyal service to the residents and employees of the County, as they extended their best wishes for a very happy and fulfilling retirement on August 2005.
