Jackie Tabigne Guevarra graduated from California State University , Northridge with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Accounting Theory and Practice in 1996. She joined the Department of Auditor-Controller's Audit Division shortly after graduation. By 1999, she was a Senior Accountant-Auditor assigned to the Department of Health Services audit team. Several years later, she became the Principal Accountant-Auditor overseeing the work of an audit team primarily responsible for conducting financial and compliance audits, revolving fund reviews, financial statement analyses, and division recruitment. From 2007 through 2010, she was assigned to the Department’s Special Projects Team (or Red Team) working on special assignments and various studies. In October 2010, she joined the Department’s Accounting Division, where she oversees the Bond Accounting and Financial Analysis section. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Jackie attended her first LACAAEA event (Meet and Greet) in November 2006. During the past several years, Jackie served the Association as its Vice President of Program/Events. She was responsible for planning the Meet and Greet, annual Fish Fry picnic and Heritage Day celebrations. Jackie firmly believes in the benefits/advantages of networking, and hopes to continue making a positive and valuable contribution to this worthy organization. Jackie is grateful for the opportunity to be more involved with her fellow Asian Americans and the Asian and Pacific Islander communities.
